The Report On College Graduation Rates of DC Students

It important for me to blog on this article in the Post, Bleak College Graduation Rate Is Found because my college, Trinity University is being praised for its success in the mix of poor graduation rates. Trinity University used to be named Trinity College and was founded over 100 years ago as an all girls Catholic college founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame. They believed that women deserved to be educated and Trinity has been commited to that goal since its beginning. In recent years Trinity has been the choice of many students from across the world, country and DC. The article reported that while the overall rate of students in the cohort graduated from college at a rate of 9% in five years, Trinity graduated 51% of its students from that cohort.

Just to brag for a little more for Trinity, House Minority (perhaps soon to be House Majority) Leader Nancy Pelosi and Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas are just a few of the distinguished graduates of Trinity.
